mountains and rivers

"If I had my life to live over, I’d dare to make more mistakes next time. I’d relax; I’d limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I’d have fewer imaginary ones."

I love this quote - my biggest fear in life is actually having regrets towards the end of this, so this really, really spoke to me! Thanks for sharing, lovely <3

My pleasure, gorgeous! I don't like to believe in regrets, but at the same time, I want to avoid them... I guess the key is just to try to embrace the sweetness of a life lived to the fullest, and not to be scared of extending ourselves and trying new things :) xx

I always try to keep this in mine, especially when I'm faced with something I don't want to do or can't be bothered doing. I think 'if I have the opportunity to do something like this taken away from me, and could never attempt it again in my life, would I regret not trying now?' usually that is enough to motivate me!
